Farming methods

The Fileni Group has always been committed to ensuring the highest levels of animal welfare for its animals and minimising impacts on the areas in which it operates.

3.

Organic

Organic farming means above all guaranteeing optimal conditions of animal well-being, in farms on organic land, fed with organic feeds and ensuring a minimum slaughter age, in the case of poultry, of 81 days (excluding the slow-growing variety recognised by the Ministry), with at least a third of this time spent outdoors.

4.

Monte Roberto farm situation

The case of the Monte Roberto farm began with a complaint submitted by the private company Sincrateia, in the person of Aristide Tesei, with owners Irene Morelli and Carlo and Andrea Tesei, raising issues of an environmental nature connected with our Monte Roberto farm. Having failed to identify any risk to the environment or to public health, the Council of State raised an issue solely regarding interpretation of urban-planning regulations between the regulatory plans of the Province of Ancona and the Municipality of Monte Roberto, with resolution of the problems identified under the control of local institutions, in which the Company is uninvolved and, in fact, is an aggrieved party.

Regional organic production area

The organic production area in the Marche region includes 2,100 agricultural businesses and 71,000 hectares of farmland (representing 60% of organic land in the Marche region).

BCorp

Being a B Corp means being part of a network of more than 4,000 companies that want to redefine the way business is done globally, prioritising sustainability, transparency and people. The goal is to generate a paradigm based on a logic of inclusion in place of exclusion, reducing social and economic differences rather than accentuating them.
